Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla was established in 1966  and is associated with Himachal Pradesh University. IGMC is a designated regional cancer center and provides comprehensive cancer treatment and care to cancer patients. It is equipped with 33 departments and sophisticated medical equipment to deliver quality medical treatment to the residents of Shimla. We currently have a pediatric oncology project at this site.

We began supporting the pediatric oncology project at IGMC in 2013 through our local implementation partner, CanKids...KidsCan. The local champion is Dr. Ashwani Sood, pediatrician and Professor at IGMC Shimla.  We currently support one social worker cum data manager and one nurse at this site.
