India Maternal Health Initiative

Jiv Daya Foundation has identified neonatal and maternal care as a significant area of need for intervention. In India, the combination of a growing population and a lack of crucial resources in labor and delivery wards has resulted in high neonatal and maternal mortality rates. Therefore, Jiv Daya Foundation desires to reduce the neonatal and maternal mortality rates by strengthening quality of and access to specialized hospital-based neonatal and maternal care.

Through the provision life saving devices and medicines, Jiv Daya hopes to make a measurable impact on the state of neonatal and maternal care in India.  Jiv Daya Foundation focus efforts on urban areas where hospitals report thousands of deliveries annually. The Foundation targets specific interventions directed towards preventable causes of mortality including post-partum hemorrhage, Eclampsia, and infection.
