William L. Cabell Elementary (K-5) is one of the few schools in DISD that prominently feature personalized learning (PL) as a part of their school ideology and curriculum. PL ensures “one-size-fits-one” instruction: the idea that all students are taught in ways that that match their unique individual needs and abilities. This perfectly aligns with StEP’s 1:1 ratio approach with the Kindle technology.

At Cabell Elementary, 93% of the students are of low socioeconomic background and 78% are academically at-risk. Together with StEP, we hope to make a positive impact on the student outcome.

Cabell Elementary joined StEP in 2015. Their mascot is the Charger.
