Gajra Raja Medical College
GWALior, MADHYA PRADESH
Established in 1945, Gajra Raja Medical College (GRMC) was the first medical college in Madhya Pradesh. The first class of medical students admitted in 1951 totaled just five, but it has grown significantly since then and now admits 166 MBBS students each year. The government of Madhya Pradesh has run the college and attached hospitals since 1997, which together total 963 beds.

The maternal health project at GRMC began in 2017. The local champion is Dr. Sonal Kulshestha, Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We currently support two counselors and one nurse.
