The All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Bhubaneswar is one of the six AIIMS healthcare centers established under the PMSSY scheme in 2012. These centers were established in specifically targeted geographic locations in an effort to ameliorate the inequalities in access to high quality tertiary levels of healthcare around India. Much like AIIMS, New Delhi, AIIMS Bhubaneswar is also a teaching hospital that aims to provide quality medical treatment while also demonstrating high standards medical education and treatment for other medical institutions in India. We currently have one palliative care project at this site.
