Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre was previously transformed from a rural cancer hospital under the supervision of Dr. Ravi Kannan, former Professor and Chief of Surgical Oncology at the Cancer Institute, Adyar in Chennai. His vision was to provide quality, comprehensive, and affordable care to marginalized patients, while also assuring their self sufficiency.To carry out this mission, he oversaw the transformation of the Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, which now includes free of cost treatment including patient/family accommodation, food, and an employment centre where able patients and attendants can work. We currently have a palliative care project at this site.

ICPCI

The Foundation's palliative care project at Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre started in 2013, with support from Director Ravi Kannan. Dr. Kannan is a surgical oncologist who specialized in head and neck oncology and bone and soft tissue sarcoma. We currently support two resource managers at this site.
