Government Medical College

Government Medical College in Nagpur was established in 1947 with the intention of providing quality medical education and treatment to residents of Maharashtra who could not travel to surrounding cities in the region for medical treatment. GMC Nagpur has a 1400 bed capacity and is home to India's first Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy School. We currently have a pediatric oncology project at this site.

The Foundation began working with GMC Nagpur in 2011, with our implementation partner, CanKids...KidsCan and our local champion, Dr. Krishna Kamble who is the Professor and Head of the Department of Radiotherapy. We support the position of one social worker cum data manager at this site.
