Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata was created as philanthropic institution by the House of Tata in 2005 to serve the high demand of medical services in the eastern region of India. Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata serves a comprehensive cancer care center that provides prevention, diagnosis and treatment services through highly trained medical staff. The hospital has a bed strength of 167, 50% of which are delegated for subsidized use. They are linked with Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, receiving assistance in medical education and treatment expertise from them. We currently have a pediatric oncology project and a palliative care project at this site.

The pediatric oncology project at Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata began in 2014, with support from local champion, Dr. Arpita Bhattacharyya. Dr. Bhattacharyya is a senior consultant in the Department of Pediatric Oncology. We currently support one data manager and one pharmacist at this site.
