Maulana Azad Medical College

Maulana Azad Medical College was established in 1958 and four other institutes are attached to it: Lok Nayak Hospital, GB Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences and Guru Nayak Eye Center. Maulana Azad is equipped with 2,800 beds and 47 OTs, seeing 7,200 outpatients on a daily basis. It is also an institution for higher learning, providing rigorous medical education to hundreds of students each year. We currently have one pediatric oncology project at this site.

Through collaboration with our local implementation partner, CanKids...KidsCan, we started the pediatric oncology project at Maulana Azad Medical College in 2015. Our local champion is Dr. Yogesh Sarin, Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery. We currently support one social worker cum data manager at this site.
