Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital (KKCTH) was founded by pediatric surgeon, Dr. M.S. Ramakrishnan in 1978. It's full name is Kanchi Kamakoti Children Health Institute, Laboratory, and Diagnostic Service Hospital. KKCTH was founded to provide high quality medical treatment to children, as well enriching the lives of students with rigorous medical education and curricula. We currently have a pediatric oncology project at this site.

We began the pediatric oncology project at KKCTH in the summer of 2011, with the support of our local champion, Dr. Julius Scott. Dr. Scott is an Australian trained Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist and senior consultant at both KKCTH and SRMC hospital, another JDF grantee site. We currently support one social worker cum data manager and one junior doctor at this site.
